Torx bolt snapped while re-installing injector pod. Does anyone know if there are TBI hardware kits at the regular auto parts shops?

No, but you should be able to get an Allen head machine screw that is equivalent in size at your local hardware store. I should say an actual hardware store... not Lowe's.

Fired up the 82 today. I try and run it at least once a week but last week it wouldn't start all of a sudden. Thought it might be out if gas so I added 4 gallons I had in the shed. Just cranked no start. So I put the trickle charger on it.

It was in the 70's this weekend so I went to see if I could get it started. Last time when I sprayed carb cleaner in it it would fire then die even giving it throttle. Noticed the choke plate was closed so I adjusted it to about an 1/8" gap and sprayed some a shot of carb cleaner in it. Also thought maybe the float valve was stuck after sitting for a couple of weeks. So I tapped it with a screwdriver handle in a few places. Bam fired right up. So I let it warm up to 190*

Now I need to figure out why the transmission won't shift out of second so I can drive it again.

To elaborate and update we had the TBI back on and the truck fired up. The injectors were spraying healthy but one was leaking out a little top side. So we took it out with intentions of taking apart to reassemble and were already planning to replace gaskets, and then the torx screw snapped in half. Nobody sells these except on E Bay. Motor man was a brand. Does anyone know a reasonable source to get some of these that would match up with the original hardware, anywhere?

Cut off 3/4" off the 1/4-20 all thread because it was too long and got rid of all the washers except for one on the air filter lid. Also turned it so the grooves are vertical. ;)

Replaced a faulty motorad radiator cap. It leaked coolant just sitting there. The new one is also motorad. I needed it, but I had them order me a Gates cap, so I'll keep that one in the glove box until the motorad cr@ps out, which shouldn't be too long.

Then fired it up, and drove it to get some milk while my wife napped.

I don't but I would imagine your local ACE Hardware or good local hardware store would have something comparable. Doesn't have to match 100% unless you just want it to. Could also grab something locally and replace it later if you order the correct ones

Got the new transmission mounted up the the LS and the crossmember mounted. Rant the hydraulic line and installed the slave cylinder. Patched the old shifter hole and cut in the new one and attached the shifter tower to the trans. Pretty much need to install the master cylinder on the firewall and attach it to the clutch and we can get the system bled and get it back on the road.

I had to have the driveshaft shortened a couple inches, had zero tolerance at the yoke with the transmission. I ran an errand this afternoon and my fabricator buddy knocked that out.
