Drove in the snow last night, with a 2WD pickup with nothing in the bed. I said, Gee, I drove 2WD for years back east, Lets see how Ralph does. Just fine. I have Yokohama Geolanders and am very happy with them.

Finally nutted up and did my cancel cam and steering wheel. Was easy and looks great with the wheels! I'll have to go back in though. I should have realized the plastic cover had to go back on to hide the steering lock plate...

Painted the air filter lid satin black. The aluminum was just not cutting it. Even after cleaning it up.

Update: fuel pressure test was a bust. I had my Uncle in law over to assist. I could not get the TBI test fitment I ordered to thread on to the flex line. This was attempted as the service manual called for: between filter and flex line, in line. I was not expecting that. Regardless, we sat and chatted about possible issues listening to it idle, getting it up to about 1500 rpm and holding it there. It sounded good. Idled high at first ignition but settled down. Giving it the gas you can hear the hesitation. It was actually good to have someone else that drives a truck around there to check it out with, even though no real results occured.

I ended up getting the Standard Ignition TBI rebuild kit for the truck and got my Nephew to come by and help out. He needs the real time experience while he is working his way to a full time diesel mechanic. Currently he rebuilds Huskvarna equipment. We got it disassembled, and cleaned up the TBI. He is taking the injectors and injector pod to his work for a soak in an Ultrasonic cleaner/bath. We discovered that the main fuel line had been rattled lose somehow and the inlets that the lines connect to were pretty sludge clogged. We cleaned them out. Potentially this is THE problem, or quite the significant discovery. If this rebuild does not lead to an improvement I will be making another attempt at the fuel pressure test possibly with a different TBI attachment.
