My cowl had 5-6 layers of paint which the citristrip took off about 4. I still had to hand sand but I also used a dremil with the tiny sanding roller which worked well. I primed that last week which will eventually see white paint when I paint the hood.

Where does one get the plastic hardware which keeps the cowl attached near the windshield?

The plastic keepers all broke when I removed them.

Swapped out the the non-performing "Delco Performer" shocks for some new Bilstein 4600's. I feel like a shock snob, but it should ride better.

Added some orange, kinda pops.
Nice! Since on the 81-87 the badges are hard to get to the backside, I’m just going to repaint mine- picked up some tiny brushes while I was at the craft store with the wife the other day. Just need to find a close match to the yellow.

Replaced the taillight gaskets since one was missing.

Now I’m in the cab trying to figure out the radio wiring butchery so I can sort it out, and also do away with the old trailer brake light wiring. I hate how audio shops chop everything up just to get a job done- makes me want to do it myself next time. But more than anything, want to make sure there’s no random hot wires laying around in there that could cause a problem.

Just doing small things right now since I’m on medical leave still for my knee and out of sick time- though I’ve applied for PFML now so hopefully that will cover things.

When I’m back to work, things should normalize and I feel like I’m at a crossroads- better heads and a looser stall converter, or tackle the interior and make it nicer.

I’m getting big block fever just seeing all these squares with monsta valve covers hiding large cubic inches.
That’s a pretty serious malady @mxer147! It’s my understanding there is only 1 approved cure for BBF……..

Got the ‘76 on the road and using it to teach my boys how to drive a manual. They love driving it and it puts a big smile on my dad’s face to see his grandsons enjoying his pickup.
