You know, I’m thinking this lady must be gorgeous. Probably one of the ones he posts pics of.
Nope. Can't post a pic of BigUn on this forum. It would bog the entire Internet down. A wallet sized photo of Mrs. Redfish won't fit in the back of my truck. Tried to take a pic with my phone...iPhone doesn't have enough memory for a photograph that large. Locked up the phone, cost me good money to buy a new phone.

I’ve seen water pumps that should have been spraying like a geyser, but somehow the seal put up with it.

As far as stupid goes- nope I’ve got stories about myself that would beat you by a country mile.
They are curious things. Some will wobble and drip or just wobble and grumble for what seems forever. And others will just schitt out without warning.
Not exclusive to squares or any vehicle with a belt driven water pump.
It’s one of those parts that I usually throw a new part at if I have an excuse to be in there and it has been around long enough that it might start making excuses for itself randomly.
Commonly referred to as cheap insurance.

I may have to challenge you. I win Stupidity Contests all the time!

When I show them a pic of my wife they always admit defeat. Anybody dumb enough to marry something that ugly deserves to win a Stupidity Contest.

Although...sometimes at work I meet folks that actually are more stupid than me. They are usually In Charge.
Challenge accepted. After owning vehicles only from the 70s and 80s, I took a car (VW Jetta) to a shop after I was dumbfounded by an intermittent no-start issue that I couldn’t resolve no matter what I did.

The shop took a look at it and called me a couple hours later. “You just need to make sure the seatbelt is clicked in before you turn the key. That’ll be 100 dollars.” So there’s that.

To stay on topic, got a dial indicator and a Innovate LC-2 AFR gauge for Christmas- just spent some time finding a keyed power source in the fusebox while the family was relaxing :Big Laugh:

Got it unpacked. She's a beut! New and shinny. That winter last long but hey looks great now. And super pleased with the carb. Bit high but imo worth it. This is the second one I have bought from them. The other one is a level 2 for engine with intake, cam and hedders.

My vacation starts this weekend and then till the 2nd next year. I'll get it on in that time if not before. Getting off work at 330 instead of 5 because work has slowed like every year about this time. But next year when y'all know who comes back we'll be busy as hell again. Can't wait!!

Came with that hard rubber gasket. I've never used that.has anyone else? I got the spread bore adapter with gaskets so I just use that.

Anyone want the old 1407 edelbrock carb? Pay shipping and it's yours. Let me know.
I bought one of those new ones a couple years back and returned it without installing it. Went with a rebuilt from them instead of the chinesium

Cleaned the oil pan. Putting on a new gasket because the old one had a million different leaks and made the whole thing nasty… it’s not perfectly clean but neither is the rest of my truck
