curious why the light?
If not then it won't shut off with the key. So at least I now have a light under the hood when I turn on the key. Even put a led light in and it's Brite. Once it starts the light goes out. Idk why because wiring is something that I'm not the best at.

Check engine light? Just thinking out loud, that would be on with key on and then go out.

It just adds a small load to the circuit. Acts kind of like a diode/resistor.

Yeah it must be back feeding to the ignition/distributor somehow.

That thing is so short it reminds me of this death machine we had in our wild days. It was a chevy luv Frame with engine and front suspension with steering column and manual transmission. Rear axle moved and welded to frame hard tail and a bench seat sitting on top, 4 foot or less wheel base so it turned on a dime at any speed lol. We named it the couch, and drive it to the store when we got thirsty lol.
