As odd as it looks with the worlds smallest tires, there’s something about the look of this truck I just love ever since I seen you post it up a few years ago!
One of these days I’m going to put tires on it that doesn’t make it look like a bunch of clowns should be pouring out of it. I’ve got a crap ton of hobbies and it’s tough getting approved through my financial advisor(wife)…lol

Well, many months later I finally have the front end back together. Sanded and painted core support, grille, painted stripe in brightwork, polished brightwork, new emblem, installed nice used fangs, 0000 steel wool on the whole bumper assembly, new Silverstar headlights, LMC headlight harness with relays, new parking lamps and side markers and cleaned all under hood grounds. The only thing I'm disappointed with is the parking lamps. They just don't look period correct when lit. Will have to figure out what LMC sent me..... Edit: Swapped in a before pic.

Only had it for a coupe months, so mostly maintenance items (and my least favorite, wiring gremlins). Full LED upgrade is nice though

Got my cross over steering linkage today. Had to mock it inplace. I have to cut down the tie rod a little, and paint them. The tube is beefier than I thought it was going to be. Super happy with them. With the bend in the drag link looks like I'll be able to run my sway bar.

ordered powerstop z23 pads.....the box said so....only to open and find Z17 pads inside (box was not sealed). $25 difference in price....gonna get the correct ones or choose a different brand. Returning and hopefully get the correct pads.

[edit]turns out the little sticker over powerstops sticker said z23, while the box and powerstops p# is for the z17's. I got the Evolution plus as compared to the sport version. Keep an eye out for it on amazon orders.

That looks really good, but may i ask, what is the benefit of side to side swapping?

Yep…I put them on because they were super cheap and they allowed me to move it while I worked on it. It was a quick fix at the time but it definitely needs some better shoes.
don't do it. With the 6 cylinder engine, small tires really help acceleration and with mine, the 3.08 gears work as intended. The bigger tires it had on it were very heavy and the truck slowed significantly .
