Pulled the 305 on my buddy's 84 c10 last night.
Only 2 hours from running to out and on a tire.

Finished the nose off tonight, minus a coat of body filler.

There are other threads with more details on this, so I'll just give quick run down on what I've done lately and you can hit up the specific threads if you want to see details, I'll even give ya links, but this is what I've done lately.

I've been thinking about buying a shelf-it, basically it an interior roof shelf that attaches in place of your sun visors to give a little overhead storage area. Well instead of buying one I built one, out of wood, and carpet wrapped it. I could have done a little better job on the carpet wrapping but if I ever take it down I can correct it. Here the thread: https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/shelf-it-storage-shelf.35237/ And some pics.

Took out the factory rearview mirror and installed a lighted (map lights) rearview mirror from a late 80's GM car I had hanging around. Ran the wiring across the backside of the shelf then down the inside of the A-pillar. Details in this thread: https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/installing-a-lighted-rearview-mirror.35396/ And pics.

And finally I installed an old school maglite, magcharger flashlight. I've been looking for one of these for a few years to install in the square. I wanted an older incandescent unit the type that would have been new when the truck was new. According to the serial number on the flashlight it was made in 86 so just two years newer than the truck. Close enough for me. This was todays project, I mounted it on the trans hump between the seat and the cup holder, with the flashlight running parallel with the seat. It's kind of tucked under the front part of the seat, so it's out of sight, but quick and easy to grab in hurry. Wired it up so it'll charge whenever the truck is running or keyed to acc. Here is the link to the thread: https://www.gmsquarebody.com/thread...magcharger-flashlight-and-installation.35318/ I don't have any pictures of the flashlight installed, because I forgot my phone and was installing it on the farm, but here are some general pics of the light. Who remembers when this was the flashlight everyone wanted to own?
