For that style, I think @gmbellew is correct.

Not sure on the stacked style.

I am basing that on memory of my 91, thinking the same thing- WTF aren't all 4 on ?
:flame:

correct, 89-91 style have only either high or low. i have a 1990 suburban, and that is how it is with the factory harness. i think they cheapened the harness and the wiring cannot support all 4 firing at once.

the stacked headlight grille that preceded his style had lows and highs light up for high beam. that was how my old 84 blazer was.

Installed part of the AC mount and worked on installing new power steer hoses and relocating some wiring for the AC before I can't get to it!

Started the tear down of the 454, timing chain may be a little worn, so far not much carbon build up at all, nothing in the oil I can see, removed the 40 pound cast intake, not looking forward to moving the heads, together probably weigh as much at me

Ok, day 2 of carb swap from ****** eddy to reliable never fail ya Quadrajet. Lol

Day 1 in my build thread. Anyway I went and got some longer bolts and cap screws because they aren't engaging enough threads for me. And the front right was loose and stripped for me.

So I chased the threads with a 5/16-18 tap. As you know aluminum is easy to tap with just a little WD40 to help it along.

Mounted with new hardware. It worked really well. As I was able to tighten the newly tapped holes with the longer screws and bolts.

I'm doing a 2 tone (maybe woodgrain to match the doors) so I just picked up some chrome trim from the junkyard.
(It should hopefully throw off all the ****** body work)

Oil change time. PF1218 filter at Deadvanced - $ 8.49.

5 quarts of Castrol 20W50 ( did not see it at Advance) $ 16.97 at Wally World.

They do not have many AC Delco filters, so you gotta bounce around.

5 quarts Supertech 10W40 for top offs :p

$ 12.96.

Actually seeing some hot young chicks = priceless.

After yard work I fabbed the throttle cable holder to it with my dremel. A lot less of a s in the cable between holder and firewall and is much smoother than before.

Only things left are change plugs and plug in booster hose to back of carb and fire it up.

Got all 4 assembled and noticed made in Taiwan. Marked them so I don't get them mixed up between pass and drivers sides. Lol

Do you see a difference between the two? Other than dirty.
