Got all 4 assembled and noticed made in Taiwan. Marked them so I don't get them mixed up between pass and drivers sides. Lol

Do you see a difference between the two? Other than dirty.

Lovely times.
But I have lockup again in 4th and I have a nice sounding radio.

In the very back, dad took out the original 3x8 or whatever, and installed some quality pioneer boxes. So those, combined with the weird hodge podge of speaker I have up front (including the middle), I have nice, loud stereo again.

OK, now it's time for some A/C D/C, Led Zepplin !!! CRANK IT and don't Bogart that doober!!!

I'll get down and crank up all kinds of tunes.
I namely like the 70's-90's tunes myself.
It's what I grew up on!

After replacing the vacuum advance in my distributor and rebuilding the carburetor i drove it to and from work for a week and i am happy to report my fuel economy has improved before it would getting 10.5 to 11 and now it is getting 13.9 to 14 mpg so that is a improvement.

replaced my temp gauge and upon reinstall of dash pieces I bumped the steering column trim piece (which already had a slight crack) on the steering wheel and it snapped off. Waiting for glue to dry to reinstall. I hope the glue holds when it is tightened down.

Do you need one of those? I have 2 nice ones for my 76 GMC, looks exact to mine. Not sure what year yours is, but did they really change??

If a 76 would work for you send me a PM and let me know. You can have it.

Finally started up the C20 that hadn't been started in about 6 months and went for a ride to go get the roommate some beer yesterday. Noticed a puddle of something under it, think it was coolant. Didn't check it out, but got it back home ASAP and then nothing. No fluids leaking. I have a feeling the Tstat was sticking and it didn't open and overflow may have pushed some out. Didn't have time to get into detail.

Aside from chasing a phantom dome light short, I found a grille emblem to help transform my GMC back to his original self after identifying as a Chevy for god knows how many years!

When I first got my C10 there was a long list of small issues that required attention. One of of them was not having the interior light come on. A quick check of the globe, okay, but then I found the fuse was missing. Fitted a new fuse only to blow it straight away. Pulled the dome light bulb out again and replaced the fuse again, so far so good. The problem turned out to be the wrong globe which only had the single contact instead of the twin contact. It was simply shorting out the circuit.. Correct bulb fitted, no more problems.

That's why l like the green coolant additives, you know what is leaking straight away and you can spot it very easily.

Dave, I actually started a thread about the dome light thing in Electrical. Bottom line everything works as it should except for random partial ground contact turning the lights on dim when they are switched off

Damn I'd kill for 14mpg. Just checked the mileage on my K20 with a long highway drive while actually trying to conserve gas and only got 11 :( Probably getting 8 around town as I like to stomp it every now and then lol
