It wasnt really that bad,I need to do it again though as my repair didnt seem to last as long as I wanted, I dont feel it's far behind removing the vent window though, I'm waiting until I either get new doors or a good used set that already have everything in them
Pull that piston and measure depth of damage. Perhaps a re-bore or sleeve will be required
I don't have a use for it right now, but if it's salvageable I'll hang on to it. I'll probably get it torn down the rest of the way this weekend, and see how it looks.
Not that bad to me. Roll the windows all the way up then back them off just a bit to take pressure off. I used duct tape to tape the window to the frame, then just unbolted and worked them out. I put new motors and regulators in both doors. Just be sure when putting back in that you get ALL of the rollers back into the correct spots on the tracks. I had one I missed and had to take it back apart to get the last roller in the track. I am guessing it took me around an hour per door start to finish.
Most of that two weeks, though, was just sanding through the 47 layers of paint covering it.
