What have you done to your square lately??

I don't know if you meant recommendations in terms of MPG or long term storage but I'm going to do a throttle body spacer on my 95 Suburban with the 5.7L TBI (yeah, yeah, it's not a square body) the guy at the exhaust shop when I got a Magnaflow on the burb (sounds great by the way) mentioned that most people that do this pick up 1-2MPG and you know what, for a $60 part, that will pay for itself quickly! Probably not what you were asking but I hope it helps... confirm compatibility before ordering but the TBI should be the same in the square body. I myself am not ordering until next month when I have more money but I will report back on it if I remember (I probably won't, LOL)

Yeah, sorry I wasn't clear, I meant recs on maintenance, MPG and/or storage. haha So I appreciate your reply and will definitely look more into the spacer. Thanks for the link and info! Will put this on the list, as well.

Added some flexibility to the back of the truck. Probably move the bracket to the center hole instead of one over.

• installed new brake pads
• replaced broken wheel lug studs while trying to replace said brake pads
• cut off excess from the new u-bolts (too tall, could hit the frame)
• adjusted the steering linkage to straighten the steering wheel
• did a DIY alighment job using string
• installed a bluetooth radio, using magnets to hold it to the metal ceiling (no headliner)
• bought some wax (meguiars ultimate wax) but haven't put it on yet

Ran new hard lines for the rear brakes and forgot how much of a pain in the ass double flaring is :\

But still have no rear brakes... so time for a new prop valve

Anyone know how to adjust the smokers window lock? Mines loose and letting a little water/lot of wind noise in. I can see the lock is loose from where it goes against the window, if that. Makes sense.

There is no adjustment but they do wear out. Do you mean where the lock passes through the window is loose? If so the seals are shot and need to be replaced. Not a hard job at all.

So....somehow over the weekend my vent window broke as I was messing with the vent window latch so that I could replace the worn out one. New vent window glass went in today. That'll cure and the new window latch will go in tomorrow.

Cleaned mine up and parked it. It stays at our second home and doesn't get driven much during the winter.

All I did to it all summer was add gas and drive it. That is meant to be a compliment for the truck, there are lots of things I'd like to do to it but nothing that has to be done.

Spot on, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Where the lock meets the glass has about </=1/8" of play in it. If that's just the seal on the lock, do you happen to have a walkthrough or some tips? Can't quite figure out how to remove the lock from the glass...though I only looking for a min.

There is a small 1/16" roll pin you need to drive out to get the handle off. After that there is a screw or nut depending on what year the vent windows are that holds the two halves through the glass together. Pick up a repair kit before you start and you should be done in a half hour or less.

Alright, I'll add that to the "soon" list. Going to order some relatively solid gas tank brackets and have them blasted/painted by my uncle.
