No, 79 is a Race Track Pattern 32 spline. Round Pattern didn't start till like late 85 or 86.

What you have there is also a Race Track pattern, but in a 27 spline.

AAAHHHHhhhh, so that is why that kit comes with the trans/205 mount and a bunch of other stuff including, the input shaft for the 205.

And so, if there is such a thing as, a 205 coupled to a 400 trans. of about 85 or older, I then could have all it`d take to hook them together, trans to 205/mount adapter with the 205 input shaft. anything else ???

I`m getting bearings/seals installed into housings today.
Danged rear output shaft has one of the pins for the thrust washer broke off flush with the shaft and the other pin was`nt even in there. fugggg, now I`ll be drilling an 1/8th inch hole into the shaft and then making a set of pins. should work though.

mechanic said the c20 was out of time, he set timing truck runs great a lot of power. i shut it off wouldn't start cooled off started hard, never been a problem. i talked with the mechanic,said he had to advance timing to get it to run well ,said to pump the gas pedal to get cooler gas? he drag races said his mustang was the same way.any thoughts thanks in advance

Could also be a starter thats getting warn out. After i got my truck we advanced the dist. and she was a BITCH to start. I ended up putting on a remaned starter and now she starts really good.

3/4 ton axles 4 inch lift rebuilt trans and rear wheel disc conversion and tags lol minor crap. Now tuning the engine cause old trans issues and she has been sitting for a while.

Tinted my glass to 20%...Did a real bad job cuz of cheap tint and a dull blade though. Still better than nothing for now. I'll prolly do the front windows one night this week.

Anyone have any advice for tinting the vent windows?

Dropped the lower control arms off to have them reinforced under the bushings. Swapped steering wheels, and finished up the front suspension tear down. Waiting on my offset upper shafts to start reassembly, one came today right part # on the box regular straight shaft in the box though
