Air circulation is great but it is hell when it rains!

Looks great, Robert!

Can't wait till my 87' is in primer. I suspect that'll take about 5 years, haha. :help:

I know how you feel my 86 is going on four years.

Finally rolled the cab off of the 80, pulled the 350/465/205 off of the frame, cut the cobbled up rear bumper/hitch off and did some more misc clean up of the frame.

Got one exhaust manifold on, hooked up all the engine electrical (sensors n' stuff), installed my new ACDelco water pump, got all the accesories on, and seperated out the chassis wires I don't need. I just need to lengthen the starter and solenoid wires, route them, install the other exhaust manifold, mount my fuseblock, tie into a few chassis wires, modify and connect my filler hose to my gas tank, fill it with gas, and, and and....

But still, almost there!

Changed out both window motors....passenger side still not going all the way up using driver side switch. Will be tracing that problem down soon. Had bought a new driver side switch before passenger side motor but didn't change a thing. Gonna have to check the resistance from one side to the other.

Also installed some Offroad lights today.

Fixed some frayed electrical connections on the fuel pump circuit and dropped the tank in the process. Also replaced thermostat because I didn't know how old it was or what it was set to. Got one for 180°.

Took the Jip Steering Shaft apart. Cleaned it in solvent and then hot dish water, getting it ready for paint. Hopefully going to paint it here in the next hour or so after I feel certain it's dry. Then hopefully with some RTV silicone, going to install it in the K1500 tomorrow.

EDIT: It's been painted. Should be ready for install in the morning. It looks like brand new !!! :waytogo:

The old mufflers (Flowmaster knock offs) and tailpipes finally fell off the 4x4 Burb, so I just got done installing new mufflers and some turndowns. The sound SUCKS! They are just basic "turbo" mufflers but the truck sounds almost stock and my wife says I ruined the truck, lol.

Just shortened the starter solenoid wire, tied in a splice to it to feed the ECM crank signal circuit, tied the TCC solenoid power wire to the old 12v brakeswitch feed for the vacuum switch for the TH350C lockup, shortened and routed the Alternator 12v+ exciter wire, did some wire harness tidying with zip ties, got in for a test and CRANKED THE MOTOR OVER. I don't have the fuel pumps plug in yet, but it was a GREAT feeling hearing that thing turn over. Can't wait to finish up the fuel lines, get my 16 gallon tank in (don't have the filler hose yet for a 20 gallon which is what I put in on the driver's side), and plug that bitch in, dump some fuel into in, and fire it up. I'm excited!!!!
