Strange how kids like those kinds of things. Makes me wonder if they like it because they really like it, or just because is something different. My daughter loved riding in the 64, and would always say, Make it hop daddy !!! And I got that ear to ear too everytime she heard the 2nd gear chirp. Being a ratchet shifter, and her riding in the middle seat next to me, I'd let her push the shifter forward every now and then. She got down to knowing, that when were sitting at a red light, she's gonna get to hear a chirp and would ask, Can I make it do that noise? She was referring to shifting gears and chirping the tires. Then the greatdaughters (I don't refer to them as granddaughters), when I stop at my daughters house in the rollback, they always want to go for a ride in the rollback, and both have to hit the air horn cable at least once.

Not sure what the smog requirements are in Texas, but if you have to smog that truck, don't forget to put a V-8 canister in the truck and whatever else that may be required for that year truck.

We do have emissions in my county, but only for vehicles 24 years and newer. Both my squares are over 25 years, so I'm good. :D

took the boys and I out for a spin on Saturday morning for a little while. They were beyond excited when I asked them if they wanted to go.

It was Saturday morning and I'd been thinking about it since Friday afternoon. We'd just eaten breakfast and as usual they start asking what we're going to do today because they always want to keep moving and doing stuff. Anyhoot, I said "oh I don't know. Probably nothing" and I went off to the bathroom as they start to whine  I come back and the oldest one had gotten dressed already and I say everyone who is dressed gets to go for a truck ride let's go!! :D I did this just teasing just to see what my 3 year old would do. He leaped off the couch and ran to his room as quick as he could. 10 seconds later he brought back shorts and a t-shirt to help him get dressed :happy175:

They really had a good time and loved it. We mostly drove around town just cruisin but at one point we got on the highway for about 2 or 3 miles. As I was merging onto the highway I punched the gas, the truck roared and I looked over and my 5 year old was beaming from ear to ear with enjoyment. It was pretty funny. I have a feeling he's going to get a few speeding tickets when he gets older. I hope he has a good job to pay for them :D

Good **** buddy. :)

That's good. It used to be like that here and then they made it to where if it is '75 and newer you smog it, or maybe '76 and newer can't remember exactly. I have three that need smog and one being built that doesn't.

My youngest does the same thing in that he always asked when we are leaving if we are going in daddys truck. He loves riding in mine since he sits up higher then in the wifes Grand Cherokee.

Yeah, my boys love the sound, that they get to sit in the front seat since there is no other choice, and sitting up high :D

It lifted that much just changing to 3/4 ton springs? They weren't 3/4 ton lift springs?
