Goddamit! I was planning on leaving the bottom of the cab alone when I redo the 86....but that sure looks nice!
(Actually I am going to not paint under the cab. It has a nice coat of rustproofing that would be damn near impossible to remove. It’s gonna be enough work getting that stuff off of the inside of the fender wells so that those don’t look like @ss with a new paint job!)

Checked transfer case level, and changed the rear axle oil. Had a brand new transfer pump so used old tubes for the old oil and new tubes for the fresh.

What a concept !



Going thru the fill plug doesn't get all the old out, but better than what it was.

Well I replaced the missing body molding on my truck today. It came out pretty good I think. I didn't want to spend amount of money to get a roll from LMC so I bought a 1/2 roll off amazon. It's not exactly the same as the factory trim, but it's pretty close. For making an unrestored truck look better it's great but I wouldn't pick it for a restoration where everything is to look factory. With the missing hub caps replaced a few months ago and now the missing trim replaced I think she's look pretty good.

[emoji1787][emoji1787] Oh if it would’ve had undercoating/rustproofing on it, I wouldn’t have. But it was just paint with a bunch of dirt on top so a wire brush and some patience is all it needed

At first, it looked like your tire had a massive bulge in it, like a broken Belt... I was thinking to myself, "is this a joke he's pulling?"

Then I realized that was a stack of tires lol

Pulled the drive train and front axle. Rear axle is disconnected and sitting on stands - just have to pull the drum to unhook the parking brake cable. Making it lighter to go faster.

Also got all the body mounts and bed bolts removed. Could not get that blasted pitman arm off with those stupid conical sleeves. Dumbest thing I ever saw.

Got LOTS of powder coating to get done.

The cone washers do exactly what they were intended to do... keep the steering arm perfectly tight. I like them for that.

pulled the battery because something caused it to mostly drain and it wont start. had no issue for months.. is possible alternator is just not working at all and everytime i periodically start it has been draining it to no end

Yes Sir, have to admit it look better! Had an 87 truck looked just like that one...before You replaced the trim. lol
