Figured out that the A/C compressor would kick on for virtually any setting I put the temp control switch to. Heat and vent even kicked on the compressor.
Tore the dash apart to remove the temp control switch and there's a rotary A/C switch mounted to the top of that which controls the compressor.
That rotary switch was burnt and shorted.
I ordered one from USA1 and after two weeks I got an email saying it was NLA from the manufacturer and they were refunding my money.
Dammit. Meanwhile, my dash is all tore apart waiting for this flippin switch to come in.
Ordered another one from LMC and had it in three days. Go figure.

So I got it installed and all put back together and now the compressor only comes on when its supposed to.
Happy Days.

Ugh, master cylinder is leaking out the piston between the master and booster. The rear reservoir keeps draining every few days. Now I have no rear brakes. When I try to stop (notice I said try) on slippery surfaces the fronts lock up and the rear just pushes the front. I pop it into 4wd to help the front slow down the back lol Gotta get that fixed asap because it's supposed to snow till Saturday afternoon.

If you have a real oh sh*t moment, use the parking brake pedal to mechanically partial apply rear brakes. Be careful!

Too bad you don’t have the comforting glow of a pro’s truck.

I dont know if I can still be a member in this forum.
I having some health issues dont have the energy to do any fixing on the projects that have been setting in the yard.

Ain't no reason to not stick around! I as well as many others here I'm sure enjoy your input! You only have me by a few years in age and I had a mild stroke out of the blue right before Thanksgiving this past year. It really took the wind out of my sails for awhile and although I am still not at 100% again I keep plugging along. My square gives me something to focus on rather than sitting around feeling sorry for myself. And besides we need you to help try to keep all us heathens on the right path!

Truck came with 2 mismatched mirrors. Both garbage for seeing, vibrated, wouldn't adjust or wind turned them. Ripped them out of the door from parking and just walking past many times. Wood screws didn't help, thanks PO. Also they were aftermarket or possibly from a ferd.:puke:

Can see out of them and they're tight to the body so I haven't bent them on the house or the shrubbery. :pepper:
Might paint them with something flat so they go with the truck better. They're way too shiny.

I am looseing fluid it seems like and sometimes my booster looks wet but recently it's been dry?? I guess it fixed itself? Hahaha, yea right. I have a new one in the shed for it for two years. Maybe one day I will fix it..sooner than later.

I have been working on trying to get my wife dad's old mighty max (his shop truck) running again to leave it at the farm again. Water pump went out so I had to replace it with the timing belt a year or two ago and never could get it running. Think the fuel pump is weak and inconsistent. Went to drive it around and hit the brake and it went to the floor, greeeaat more junk (in the words of Vice Grips Garage)!
