Where can that bracket be found? Caprice cop car or something?

There's alot of uncertainty exactly where the bracket comes from. Some say Police Package Caprices...but the CS-144 doesnt fit it?

Others say some Caddy's and other GM models that optioned for the 120A upgrade...

I got mine here: http://www.gmnosparts.us/10118722.htm I could be wrong but the bracket isnt needed for every application.

Heavyleft did a write up in here, cant find link, doing the same thing w/o the bracket.

As far as the harness, from everything Ive read...if you have a gauge you need the resistor, no gauge-idoit light only, no resistor. NAPA has PN's for both parts, however there was a huge shipment of mispackaged harnesses....per NAPA employee...thats why anybody who goes to NAPA is rolling the dice.

I got mine off eBay...same one in this thread http://www.gmsquarebody.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2670&highlight=CS144

Link to the instructions Im following...specific to a TPI 350: http://sethirdgen.org/cs144.htm

Belt is on the shelf, harness to go from CS130-CS144 enroute, just trying to find the time to dig into it.

I've put the bigger alt on the older TPI's with the individual belts, which is one reason I liked that setup. I never knew a conversion bracket was available for the '88+ serp setup.

There are options to buy a new CS130 140A (even 200A+) or have the OE re-wound....and make it a simple swap...

Between the bracket, the alt and belt (which needed to be replaced anyway), Im into this for < $100.... much cheaper and I get to be a little more hands on which is always a good thing....imho.

They're saying you're running terrible plugs for a GM.

Couldn't agree more!

Get proper plugs with a single strap and gap them correctly. The gaps on those looked up f#cked up. If that was a real question about what they are telling you, do a leak down test. #6 looks like possible ring seal issues.

Painting your bumper black while it off perhaps?!

Yeah, no kidding. Seven of the plugs felt like being a nice guy, but plug #6 did the normal Bosch thing and just said "fock off, I don't wanna".
