Will be easy to bring the HC down, new plugs, wire, cap, rotor...I hope.

That CO reading is crazy! I knew I ran rich, but wtf?

Mine started to do that the last time I had mine done. Just barely passed. I'm not sure whats up with yours, but I think both of my cats were getting ready to take a ****....still miss TPI though.

Just finished the rear flip and installed the 3" drop spindles and cut a coil off the front springs. Repalced the brake pads ,greased the bairings and installed new seals. Still need to put new shoes on the rear brakes and bleed the system.

Did the rear flip fo 15 bucks. Using summit perches and the old hardware.

Will post pics whan I get a chance.

Ha! Can't do that here... the u-bolts usually only come off with a torch or a cut-off wheel.

A while back, the C20 Burb's battery kept dying after a couple weeks of sitting. I couldn't find anything wrong so I figured it must have been the alarm that I never used. I put a new battery in the remote and used the alarm (keyless entry) and everything has been fine since... until today. The truck had been sitting a couple weeks and the battery was just about dead again. Grrr. Put the charger on it and got in the truck, then noticed there was a faint buzzing noise coming from the CD player. So, long story short, I put another CD player in the Burb today. Never liked the old one anyway.

Found this, which means I'm on the lookout for a new (used) lower control arm for the driver's side before I do my suspension rebuild.

Slapped in ORD's heavy duty grease-able shackles today.....pics will be posted in the build thread tomorrow.....cause the front springs was hitting the frame.....thought this was the cause of a new noise....nope. The metal screeching/banshee sounding noise is still there. No pattern to it. Sounds like its coming from the rear. Gonna check out the rear hubs tomorrow seeing how the driver's rear is just starting to leak anyways.

I've often thought of trying to get with a tool mfr (that's manufacturer, not ************) and try to make a reasonably priced sniffer for the home auto mechanic. Kinda like a code reader tool. Except that it has a tailpipe sniffer instead of reading codes, and shows the NOX, O2, HC and CO readings to where a guy can work on his own vehicle and get within his limits before he goes down to test.
