installed new (Taiwan) inner fender. Old ones have a hole in the back you can put your fist through. It Lined up pretty well which surprised me. Only thing that bugged me was the coolant reservoir holes didn't line up at all. No biggie, I'll be putting a newer one in during the LS swap anyway. I'll get the other tomorrow.

I found someone on craigslist advertising them. $40 each. I drove an hour to pick them up. Saved $65+ in shipping from online vendors.

Got some SEM interior paint as I start the refresh of the 87 interior

Cut off the crappy sounding MagnaFlow mufflers.......they sounded more like muffled glasspacks due to the way they are constructed.


Installed dual series 40 Flowmasters........chambered mufflers sound better imo. Now it sounds more like a truck should and without any drone inside the cab. The mufflers are mounted under the bed and I retained the side dumps just in front of the rear tires. I sold the MagnaFlows on craiglist.

played with re-wiring the harness for the LS install. Another hour into it today, I thought would it be worth $300 to pay someone else to do it. Quickly reminded myself that I'll know what I have and who's fault it is if it doesn't work right lol...that and $300 for something else.

With all that you have going on with this truck, LS Swap, Hi Po, Lowered suspension and such, I'm a bit surprised that you don't have a build thread to track and post up your progress.

If you ever feel up to it, just start up a new thread in the Under Construction section.

Suntek cxp 5% cab with photo sync 55% windshield need it in az it gets hot. I dont drive at night so dosent bother me much .

Power window motors on both rear doors pretty much went out at the same time here recently so I've replaced both motors. Got the motors from Napa for $70 for the pair. Hopefully they'll last a long time.
