Installed a new gear reduction starter Friday. What a friggen difference!!! It turns over FAST. For $48 I think it was money well spent too!

Also did the PEX mod on the door strikers - what an improvement, I should have done that years ago! Thanks @HotRodPC for the idea!

Where'd you get the starter from? Nice horsie toys on the bench lol. At first glance I thought it was a dead squirrel or something.

Thanks

I got the starter on Amazon. $45 shipped from a company called DB Electrical. The starter came with a print-out of the QC tests they did before shipping, and it included the correct bolts and a shim (that I did not need).

And the horses are baby toys that got a little chewed-up by the dogs. Gotta clean them up before giving them back to the kids.

I spent a few hours tonight studying the differences in the wiper delay module boards between the 78-83 and 84-91 trucks. I'm working on trying to adapt the 84-up delay modules to the 78-83 delay switches since the 78-83 modules are obsolete and kinda brittle. Later model ones are easy to find-and I have quite a few NOS 78-83 delay/pulse switches anyway-but no NOS modules for those years.

So far I've narrowed the main difference is the column to module circuit cavities A and G (both brown) being the 2 leads for the rheostat/potentiometer which is built into the signal stalk. There's a bit more to the circuit board design of the 84-up modules but I think I'm about ready to bench test a modded module with one of my NOS 78-83 delay wiper switches.....yeah, that's how a spent my time when I'm board-I study circuit designs-lol

Not too bad
Looks like one of my exes dads redone not too long ago
He was fairly cheap on redoing complete seats
Bout 350 for everything

That's the price someone quoted me, did it myself and saved $150

How do you identify pulse or not? I've always wanted tilt, but I don't know if if have pulse or not. There's the post that says this will work with this, but it mentions pulse, so I stopped there and haven't gotten back to it.

Installed new bottom, side springs in my original bench seat. I have to repair two center springs with the welder, repair bad sections in the top and bottom foam, and then reupholster it. How much are bench seats out of a 77 Chevy C10 going for now? I might sell it to finance more resto on the truck.
