Replaced three broken springs and repaired three others. Here's a few before and after pics.

That's one thing I could learn somehow, is upholstery work. I'd have no problem sewing like a bitch to learn it. I hear it's same as standard sewing, just tougher equipment with stronger needles but I don't the first thing about sewing.

about to run out and spray paint a few spots on the bed that shows surface rust after tossing logs into the bed from the bradford pear that went down last weekend. Gonna read up on spray/roll/brush liner. I'd like to keep it smooth so stuff slides out easily. We'll see.

Exactly why I have a cover coming from Classic Industries. They had 10% off and free shipping. Savings of $45-50.

Let us know what ya find out. Been looking on and off for a while, but never could pull the trigger on any of them.

Spent a couple hours doing some hammer/dolly work on my rust free Shortbox bedside. I had to cut an access panel on the inside to get to the damaged area. Yeah it would have been way easier to just buy an aftermarket boxside BUT-I wanted to save this box and keep it all GM!

Another angle....

this body line was dented in about 1/2" at a length of about a foot.

More of a top view angle-this restored the location of the body line so it's as close as it will get horizontally and outward. Now, several coats of high fill primer will hopefully allow me to re-finish this area of the panel without the use of any putty.

The GM housings were a silver color but-I preferred them painted white with a clear gloss coat-this should provide for much brighter lighting once assembled and installed with bulbs. The lenses I used a Meguiars plastic polish to bring out the gloss-the aluminum trim I used Mothers metal polish.
