Changed oil on the high mileage, rear seal leaking, 350. I put 10w30 and that Rislone compression w/ring seal in it. Checked all the fluids while I was there.

Also did the same to my wifes sentra. Advance had a sale on Mobile One 0w20 ($20)

Have been attempting to clean the rims with various stuff. I used some aluminum cleaner yesterday with not much luck. The best luck I had was with a straight handle (ball at the end) brush. Like a miniature toilet brush, but softer bristle. Cut the handle off and threw it in the drill and used comet. I'm either going to have to spend some serious time on them or just paint them. Next time I spray anything on them I'm going to have them off the truck. I guess I didn't get it all off....one of the brakes was locked this morning. Little bit of throttle broke it free.

(edit) Forgot to mention, I couldn't for the life of me find the power steering fluid on the Sentra. After 10 minutes of staring down the engine bay I checked the book. It's electric power steering LOL.

Replaced the crusty fuel pump, charge the battery, installed new side marker and tail light lenses.

Repainting the door panels. Here's before and after for the driver side panel. Tomorrow we tackle the passenger side.

Well due to my wife being involved in an accident Wednesday (dummy turned left in front of her an totaled my best vehicle  ) I've been thrashing on the 78 because we will be down to one vehicle soon. Here's some progress.

What you can't see is the interior all back together (what little I have anyway), driveshaft back in, trans has fluid. Getting closer anyway, it will be pressed into daily driver status soon I fear so I hope I haven't forgot anything.

Insurance hasn't looked at it yet but with the wheel pushed back I'm sure she's done for. She had another 100k left in her to I bet. I already got all my stuff out/off. Glad I hadn't sold the factory wheels yet. This really sucks....

Hope she's OK. You might ask if you can buy the vehicle from the insurance company and then u'd have a donor vehicle for the square. You have that option, most don't know though. Depending on the mileage of course. Who knows higher mileage.....super cheap.

Just a thought.
