water pump went south.. put serpentine on

Well my water pump crapped out finally It was about 7 to
8 years old.. i had gotten a serpentine set up off my brother inlaw 5 to 6 months ago or so and i planned on putting it on this summer but looked like now was the time to just go ahead and do it. The setup was off a 92 sub 2500 454 it had everything on it is needed and got it for free so why not. I was hesitant to try it but i took off all the old acc and bolted it all up before i went and got the rev pump. It all worked so i got it put it all on and seems to be working fine. Never did figure how to rotate pics on here.. sorry

Ah, so THAT'S what that delete pulley is for. I had ordered one for a 350 and got the one pictured, didn't work. Got one from another vendor and it fit the 350. Guess I got one for a 454 that I can use later.

Compared the VIN code of my 83 K10 to the chart in LMC's catelog. Says it's a C10 2wd! Not a K10. But it's 4x4! PO did a conversion... wow

Yes i got the reverse pump. The belt i got was to long and man did that thing squeal. Had to go down in size almost acouple inches to try to split the hash marks on the tentioner pully. Buy the way i hear if you cant getem to stop squealing to use a good year gatorback belt. summit sells them couldent find one at any parts stores

Replaced vacuum selector for heater controls, heater core, redid some of the deteriorated insulation in the heater box, and found a bolt to replace the one that was missing from the seat mount.

Successful day. Maybe i can go back to just driving it again until it is warm outside!

Made my wife a little mad, it was too cold to work outside, so I overhauled my 670 carb in the bedroom. I was told there were fumes.
