What have I done to my k30 dually? After going to Oreillys auto twice, then finding out i had to get the alternator rebuilt, because after 2 hours of searching they couldnt find one(one guy told me to bend my alternator braket to make a smaller alt fit....good lord) got it rebuilt for 50 bucks(ya buddy), put it back on the 400 chev, then went and hunted down the trans leak(thought it was a pan gasket, so i got one along with a trans filter(10 bucks)), come to find out all the bolts on the right side of the pan were loose, so i retighted em, and now no leak(still going to change trans fluid and filter, because why not). Just a few more small mech. fixes and then ill be onto body and accesories.

This is as far as I've gotten her.. I can either

1. Finish cleaning and painting the 350 and put in.
2. Buy my buddies 454 and rebuild and put in.
3. Convince my wife that the 5.3L thts in the beater I have should go in the 86..

I second the motion

x1000. You will not regret it.

Back at home I just installed a set of Sylvania Silverstar low beams and wow... what a friggin difference. I may as well not have had the old lights turned on they were so bad. These really are "night and day." For $36 shipped from Amazon it was worth it! Now I just need to get the relay harness hooked up and I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW!!!
