I replaced the heater core on the truck and did a write up on it in the heating / a/c section. Job went well, I suppose the hardest thing was just remembering how the box came apart.

So this morning I did.... I don't really want to call it a detail, but good cleaning at least. Under the hood and the interior.

Lookin' pretty good, some details I didn't get to but that's ok.

Found a carwash that I really like. It's not the newest or the nicest, but for $8 (inc. sales tax) she comes out of the tunnel nice and clean and on the $8 wash they don't spray on any kind of wax. I really hate that, so many automatic washes even on the "economy" wash spray wax all over the rig which messes with wipers and since I use a polymer "wax" on the truck I don't need that stuff sprayed all over the truck. The two car washes near the shop are both over $10 for their economy washes.

Ever wonder how much oil goes through an LS’s PCV system? I’ve got a catch can on order

Put the new starter on the 84 today and it doesn't mesh with the flywheel and just spins. So I'm gonna have str rebuild the old one. I'm tired of fcking with these stupid starters that don't fit right. Just my luck too!!
Usually you can just swap the nose cone from one starter to the other, bet it fixes your problem

Making small strides on the Jimmy. About 80% the way on the AC to heater swap. I'm on vacation this week, i intend on finishing the swap. So far so good. Pictures start from beginning to current.

Where are the cowl drains? Under the dash pad? Anyone got photos or a link?

do a search, it's been discussed. or direct a garden hose into the cowl area and see where the water comes out. should ne behind the front fender on each side. may be a plastic trim piece to remove. it's a clean, flush, clean, flush repetitive exercise.

Pulled an extra late-nighter and finished the swap (all but the harness). I am highly satisfied. Turned out better than i had originally thought.

BUT earlier today, we finally got the tires delivered for the dually. Had no choice but to take them into town and get them mounted. Now the truck finally sits where it shall be living for now on. ALSO highly satisfied. In comparison to me, it's a high one. Aimed to be one of a kind.

Used the weekend to get the LS prepped for install. New spark plugs, removed the exhaust manifolds (2 broken exhaust bolts) Found out the oil dipstick tube was rusted through and the main power lug on the starter was broke off in shipping to motor to me. Got the oil pan removed and new lower profile pan and pickup installed. New starter and dipstick with tube will be here this week.
