Back on the ground and out for a quick cruise in the neighborhood before the alignment. The clearance on the control arms is now good, seeking out some 73-80 fender wells now. Good to see her out of the garage for my 50th birthday today.

Thanks Shawn! Erm…next? I’d guess finally getting that cracked windshield fixed, haha.

No, I need to get some 73-80 inner fenders, front tires are rubbin’ occasionally. Got a line on a couple south of here on a part-out. Even with the driving, it’ll be cheaper since the freight charges are so much. Probably have to eventually have the exhaust redone, it’s just a tad too low.

Someday, I’d like a Sniper EFI. 3.42 posi, and a looser stall. But, right now I just want to drive ‘er.

New coolant hose for the 82 and the 84 on ramps to get a new starter. Maybe do it tomorrow as I'm waiting on the engine to cool down. I'm getting thirsty. Lol
Sorry I'm a little late. The one i ordered was "supposedly" for a 75ish truck, I can't remember if it necessarily popped up under that application. Is a continental, But it was about 2 inches too short, I could stretch it but no bueno.

So I went to napa and did a find one that matches from the wall thing, I didn't want to be there forever and I spotted one that was the right and full diameter, was a good bit too long and had an extra couple bends after the straight shot. Well of course, I don't even know why I was surprised, it ended up being 80 damn dollars(I almost put it back) but I was checking out and just decided buy once cry once.

So this is what I got, napa 16317. I also was able to use half of what was left from the "junk" piece, it had a molded 90 so it made the best lower rad hose guard I've ever made. They always look janky, but this looks great, I also have another chunk the same length for another hose guard.

Only comment I have is this hose might look a little cheesy with your shallow electric fan shroud. If you were to cut some off the rad end the bend might get a little over extended, mine was pretty close on the bend with the factory edge, but not worried at all. So I didn't cut it for the edge and the bend, since I don't have a huge hose cutter. Mine looks a little dinky with out the fan shroud.

I ended up talking to the guys at CPP- they said I could easily remove 3/8 inch without creating an issue- and send me a picture of some of their control arms that already have the clearance mod done. So I mimicked that. This is their photo, but more or less what mine looks like now.

Oh, sorry @TotalyHucked - just realized I was repeating myself- didn’t realize you had seen this on the other thread, my bad.
:slap:

J/K. It's good info and may help someone in the future. Does not matter that it is in 2 places. Just more likely to be seen. :waytogo:
