I was just gonna ask you about where you got your dash from, I have a blue one for my truck that is original and cracked horribly. To the point where, it’s probably not worth trying to save. The blue ones seem to be hard to find, I might just end up going with a black one, because there doesn’t seem anything quality out there in the blue Dashboards and I hear nothing but complaints about the overlays.I spent some time freshening up the interior on Ol’ Blue. The little lady was complaining about the ‘musty’ smell that was probably coming from 35 year old carpet. New dash cover, seat cover, carpet, Retro sounds full system with 5 new speakers, amp and subwoofer, killmat sound deadening, custom headliner (free) and all new trim pieces. I spent a little money and am very happy with everything except the dash. I should have just spent the money on a new one. I went the cheap route and bought the cover overlay. It’s decent but the old dash foam shows in a few places.
I got it from Rock Auto. The actual fit is fine, it’s just the whole idea of attaching it to the original dash. Sandwiching the two together just isn’t ever going to be neat and tidy at the margins like a new dash pad would be. I even removed the old vinyl from the old pad with a heat gun. It’s one of those deals where most people probably won’t notice but when you put a bunch of time into something, you see every little flaw.I was just gonna ask you about where you got your dash from, I have a blue one for my truck that is original and cracked horribly. Way to get after it!Got several items done on the old 75 Sierra Grande….
Spark plugs, Diehard battery, recore radiator, hoses/clamps, belts, thermostat, correct temp sending unit (now the gauge on the dash works properly), replaced the over flow tank hose that was cracked.
really felt like I accomplished something. Haven’t wrenched on the truck in a really long time.
Next on the list:
Fuel pump
Spark plug wires
Oil change
New bezel?Never posted this a while back. Part of my interior upgrade. Before and after. (Still had the protective film on the new bezel)

I bought this one from The Truck Shop. I’m not well versed in what “bad” ones vs good look like but this one is pretty close to factory fit imo. I did zero trimming. And the finish is definitely OE quality. May check them out.I was just gonna ask you about where you got your dash from, I have a blue one for my truck that is original and cracked horribly. Perfect! I’ll check it out. That’s a better price than anything LMC would have- they have good stuff but their shipping kills me as well.I bought this one from The Truck Shop. It’s been almost 2 years since I bought it but it was cheaper than the top of the line LMC or whoever ones. But still like $350 or something. You must be registered for see images attach
I said the film was on the bezel, I meant to say the aluminum front bezel "trim".New bezel?
Hell I wish mine looked as good as your old one!
