Afternoon session:
Installed the transfer case skid plate. My OCD motivated me to install the 2 gauge red wire from the battery to the starter. Used a wire brush and brake cleaner to clean the front diff cover in preparation for a fluid change and installation of a Lubelocker gasket.

Are those skid plates an aftermarket add-on or were they just on earlier models?

I believe it came with the truck but since there have been several owners I can't be sure.

This afternoon I installed the windshield washer pump and it worked great. I replaced the pedal pads. Here are before and after pics. Also installed the door carpet.

I don't post much here, usually just in my build thread, but had to post this here. I have not cleaned or polished these wheels in 20 years. My buddy told me about this polish, and wheel cleaner. Holy crap. Took me about two hours. The best part was, it didn't take and power anything. It was all done by hand. A little before and after.
well what was the product name? and you don't have a link to your build page so how are we supposed to go there?

Today I pulled that ugly black tow bumper. I've ordered a chrome bumper to match the front bumper. Does anyone have an idea as to how much I could sell the bumper for?

If that receiver was tucked up higher, it would look way better. At least where it was right under the "step" where the original ball bolts on. I have seen bumpers with receivers installed like that and it looks clean. The bumper you removed, yeah, I can see why.

Honesty maybe 50 bucks. If it were a CUCV rear bumper 150-200. I guess if you put it on Craigslist, Fakebook market place...see if anyone bits.

Finally got the cab trim in. Wasn't a piece of cake. Installed new headlights.

Your headlight/grill trim is on upside down....

I thought the same thing but if you look closely the headlight adjustment openings are correct. Someone in the past removed the chrome trim and reinstalled it upside down. It's on my list of things to do....

That bumper is pretty nice!
Not my style either, for an original or show truck, but plenty of folks would want it I'd think.

Any tips or tricks on the cab molding? I'm about to install it on ours, not an OEM option so I need to drill for all the clips. Seems pretty straightforward, but I've said that before...lol

Today, so far, I reversed the side grill trim to put them back on the right sides. I also wrapped the wires going to the passenger side of the engine (choke, alternator, and starter) in heat resistant loom and tape. The previous loom was plastic and basically fell apart every time it was touched.
