Got the passenger side door assembled.....what a pita. Anyway pics as promised. Looks good until you get within 10 ft. Will test harness tomorrow and install if it functions correctly.....gotta at least have the drivers window go up and down.

Looks pretty dang good IMO.
Looks even better for the price!
If he put enough paint on, that would clean up just fine. Most of my truck looked like a $500 paint job before I busted out the sandpaper and polisher.

Been using her several times a week since the spring. Ole gal has pulled trailers, hauled fencing and limbs, pulled a tractor tire sandbox out of the yard, and is the go-to chore truck. I finally got the taillight wiring sorted out and last week put new tires on the back and retired the split rims. She is going to the county fair this week for the first time in probably 20+ years.

Got under the dually in the dirt to check the exhaust flapper movement when hot. WTF looked like a tesla coil dancing up and down the exhaust manifold. Replaced the loose spark plug wire and damn,,, it ran like it did before I stored it. After a clean and wax, it's ready to run up and down Ramona main street on Thursdays with a couple of flags in the bed. I'm also going to probably have to make it my daily driver, my 95 Ford Escort is sounding like it's going to need some work.
Here's what it sounds like now.

Ramona? LOL I guess your from East County, San Diego...I was born and raised in Lakeside. Graduated from El Cap...had a few friends back in the day from Ramona. Glad you found out what the problem was. It's funny the little Gremlins that get into these things when you park them for a bit...

What I did today actually began last week. I ordered a new MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor from O'Reilly's. It arrived a couple days later and I made an attempt to install it. It looked identical but the 3 prong plug would not fit. The individual holes were significantly smaller than the OE part. I kind of forced it in and the truck would barely run. It was the Standard brand and I checked the number, it was supposed to fit.

I had them re-order an AC Delco which arrived today. It has a large Made In China sticker on it which I do not like but at least it sort of fit. It was still very tight but the plug finally seated and the truck runs. I don't feel much difference but that is one more 1987 era part that has been replaced. It did seem a little bit more responsive but that may be my imagination.

I was so happy that I gave it a bath and I am going to drive it to work tomorrow.

Replaced my entire A/C system. It had all the original parts in prior with clakity sounding compressor blowing nothing but swampass air. Now it’s blowing ice cubes again.

I am betting that you need a working A/C right now. I don't know where in Louisiana you are located but if you are anywhere close to me it has been HOT. Honestly I cannot think of anywhere in Louisiana that isn't HOT right now. Mrs. Redfish would refuse to ride in my '87 if it didn't have A/C.

Of course, if I didn't have A/C I would refuse to let Mrs. Redfish ride with me. The last thing I need is a sweaty, hairy, walrus sweating on my seat...

My daughter and I took my truck to a fundraising car show Sunday. We got our picture taken with 3 former Packer players. It was a fun day.
