My father had his own delivery business for about 16 years,,,,he had a 1974 C65 chevy bobtail truck with a 366 in it. Ran that truck bout 16 hours a day 6 days a week. Truck had quite a few miles on it. Pretty good reliable engine for a gas engine,,,,,

You know how many miles it had on it?

Hahah, I owned a 366 Tall Block with an Allison for a short time. Bought it a school auction, then put it on eBay and turned it for a $500 profit a few days later. We had fun with it for a week. My son at the time was 9. He got to drive it down the Interstate at 70 mph that summer. I did a little photochopping to this pic though. We laughed our asses off cruising around in this thing.

I'm liking the 454 in the ol' girl... I also have a 427 in the garage that I haggled for from my dad. It was originally a 454 from a '70 Chevelle SS 454, but he restroked it to be able to wind it out a little bit more for street racing. I wish he still had the car... I would've loved to have had the chance to restore it.

Late friend of mine and I had dropped a 454 in his '87 4x4. This was in the mid 90's when anyone who owned a 5.0 Mustang thought they were dominant on the streets. This 4x4 would chew them up for dinner and spit out the bones all the time. We bought the 454 off an auto shop instructor at the college here, he had installed it in his early 80's conversion van after he had rebuilt it. By the time we got it, it had about 2000km on it since the rebuild, and it had been run on propane for that 2000km. Only thing he had done wrong with the rebuild was he had installed an "RV" cam in it, but didn't replace the valve springs from the stock units, so after a couple months, it wore the cam lobes. First mud races of the summer were coming up, didn't have time to replace the cam or springs, so disconnected the plug on the cylinder that was backfiring and did the races on 7 cylinders. Truck still took 2nd place in the modifieds.
