Thank you. I feel the advice was well intentioned but there is a missing link to this.

If you have 12v at each socket on the right pin and the same good ground on the right pin at each socket then your headlights work.
There’s nothing else between the socket and the bulb.
But you’ve checked that it appears. Good luck
