I'm looking for a sister for my M1008. I want a 73-91 crew cab 4x4. My main priority would be for the body to be in good condition. If I'm gonna get picky, I'm looking for a single rear wheel, round headlight version. I'm not too concerned if it runs or not, but it would be a plus. Thanks.

I know. But besides the M1008 I already have, this setup is my dream truck, so I'm always casually on the lookout for one. I have no real time limit for coming across one. Whenever I find the right truck, I will buy it. I'm thinking the most likely thing that'll happen is I'll run into someone in person with one and ask to buy it on the spot.

The guy I just got my m1008 had a clean one he just picked up. ex Navy truck iirc. looked about as clean if not cleaner than the one I just picked up. Said he was probably going to price it in the $8800 range. Probably some room for negotiating in that. I don't think he's had a chance to do much with it. it was still on the trailer. this is the link to his ad.

Those trucks are sweet, but it's not a CUCV I'm looking for - I already have mine. Thanks though.

So I did a national Craigslist search for "197* crew cab," and I also looked on several websites that sell vehicles, and I found some stuff that were single rear wheeled crew cabs. I'm assuming that you want it bad enough that you'll consider going pretty far to get it, or you'll have it shipped. Someone just posted today wanting a late square body cab from the SW United States, and they were interested in having it shipped so that's what inspired my thought process. Some of this stuff is overpriced, and some of it is in bad shape, and there really isn't much here, but I'm gonna throw everything I found at you. My search probably missed some dingleball ads that didn't mention it was a crew cab, and I'm sure I missed at least one 1980 model truck. Anyways, here goes.

The last one seems to be the most reasonable specimen factoring in price and condition, but it's also very far away. The first one seems pretty nice and actually not overpriced. A single wheel, round eye, crew cab square is very specific criteria considering how old they are and how hard people beat them.

I just picked up this one in Denver this weekend. Found it on CL, located just a couple miles from work.

3 generation, 30 year project! 5.9l 12valve cummins, auto trans, and tcase all from a wrecked 90 dodge that only had 7K on the odometer.

I'm so stoked to have found this unicorn!

You have to look at all the truck ads you can find, otherwise you might miss some good ones. Some folks just don't know how to advertise. When I found my truck, they did not have crew cab, 4x4 or 1-ton listed in the title. In fact, they had it posted as a C10.

Very true. No telling how many you can miss with even the most generalized search still geared towards a crew cab.
