Hey All - hope your day is good. I was wondering what options I have to clean these vent window divider exterior divider strip?

The truck is 100 stock. all original.original paint ZERO RUST. And for that reason, Im leaving it mostly stock.

I want to clean up the paint (IM not sure what to do on that either) It's in pretty decent shape. I'll eventually (soon actually) replace all the exterior molding and weather stripping too.

But anyone have an options on what I should do to the vent windows deviders? (I don't really know what to call them either) --

When you take them apart for the seal replacement. Take your time sand em down. Clean. Little more sanding. Little more cleaning.
Paint according to paint instructions. Take your time. Nothing makes them look worse than rushing it.

Window frame, channel, run, are some words that apply. It borders your glass, and your vent window is on the other side of it. There may be stick on trim made for it, i got some for my park avenue and it kinda helped the b pillars a bunch

Short term you could plastic dip them until you're ready to full tear them down.

I sand blasted and repainted mine and still wasn't happy with the outcome so ordered a set from LMC. Not cheap but am very happy with the outcome. https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/vent-window/cc-1973-87-vent-window-components.

Rebuild them. You can only paint the properly when they are disassembled. It's not that much work.

Even without removing them, you could prep mask and paint them to look much better. Or vinyl.
Hell, in a pinch, touch them up with black sharpie marker.
But my truck needs new seals too so when the windows come apart will just repaint them.
Think quality when doing stuff like this. Rustoleum rebuilds are not for anything you want to last. Get some decent quality enamel. Preferrably urethane.

Doesn't/ didn't someone make a stainless cover strip to go over the rusted area?
