Vapor lines from tanks

Hello,

I’m putting all new tanks, sending units, and fuel lines on my 1985 K10 and I have a question regarding how to vent the tanks without the vapor canister. Would a rollover valve(s) connected to the bed frame or ran up under the hood do the trick?

I’ve seen this question asked before and it usually ends up with everyone asking the poster why would they remove the canister in the first place. Well in my case, the canister was already missing when I bought the truck and I’ve scoured the usual websites for a replacement to no avail.

The cannister has definite value in keeping your fuel from evaporating, getting moisture in your tank ,rusting the tank,rusting the fuel lines,freezing I'm winter,but it's your truck. I've used a fuel filter plugged into a vent line to allow it to vent and still keep dirt and insects out.. I scoured for less than a minute

I found plenty of canisters online too, but they are either out of stock, discontinued or don’t fit my truck when I input the vehicle information.

I got rid of my vapor canister when I swapped my truck. I just have a length of fuel hose run out to just in front of the back bumper along the frame rail, nothing more. Never had an issue with fumes, even in a small car trailer. I probably will add a rollover valve at some point if I ever think about it but it's been just like this for 3yrs and 35k miles.
