So, my tranny dip stick spews fluid out of it onto my valve covers.

I notices that I overfilled her..and reduced the fluid..but today when she was warming up she spewed fluid again.

I drove her down the block and it didn't happen again. Wtf? Bubbles? Air gap?

I don't get it.

Thanks

with the transmission at operating temp.shifter in park,on level ground, the fluid level should NOT be above the full line.
Operating temp is not driving it a couple of blocks, operating temp is in like ten or twenty miles.

you said you overfilled it... did you drain and refill which caused an overfill. When you drain and fill you only add like 5 quarts back.. not all 11 or whatever it is.

One other thing.. is your dipstick locking down on the tube?

I drained and refilled..I under filled, and then over filled..lol

I am so new to this **** I made a mistake of not checking at temp.

So I drained some and checked at temp (I thought).

Need to drain a little more and check again.

Also the stick does click but it may be coming loose.

Thanks

My truck did the same thing years ago. Turned out to be a dirt dauber nest in the vent tube on top of the trans. Cleaned it out, problem solved.
