Actually, light bars do fit this topic pretty well. All of our light bars are now are Strobes and/or LED other then the Work Up lights.

They're expensive but AW Direct prolly has the lenses you're looking for.

He could also try galls. They aren't cheap either though. I used them for personal vehicle lights back when I was a EMT.…

That's funny. I also like "bed time" on rollbacks.

I like some of the slogans on Tow Trucks and Roll Backs. One company here is named. Times Up. Of course they are 95% repo and have a few local body shop accounts too. Another company has painted on all their trucks. " We meet the friendliest by accident. " Which has been true the last 2 nights. Lucky no one was hurt badly Friday night. It was a head on. A Toyota Camry doing about 35 crossed the center line and a GMT400 X cab doing about 40 was at the wrong place, wrong time. Luckily they only kissed left headlights and wiped out the left wheels of each other. Believe it or not, I think the Camry faired much better considering. Both are totaled of course, but the GMT400 was buckled right behind the cab with a bent frame. Probably the way the truck was designed to crumple and kept the old guy from getting badly hurt. By the time it was all over the vehicles were not quite but close to 1/4 mile apart and biggo debris scattered at least 1/4 mile in both lanes and on both shoulders. I ended up working that one with the last company I worked for. I got party 1 they got party 2. Then the same thing Sat. I got party 1, they got party 2 on a Tbone of someone pulling out of Walmart and got nailed. They too were quite a distance apart. About an 1/8 mile and the GMT400 Tahoe I got was pushed up against a fire hydrant. Thankfully didn't break it off. Haven't got my PD yet this evening and it's Midnight 30. Being Sunday, might not get one tonight. Hope not, I'd just rather have it for the Monday morning rushhour traffic accident. Accidents pay even better cuz you get clean up time.

And here's the project. 1957 Dodge flatbed, being prepped to go to a new home. I'm trading a guy 2-for-1 for this plus one of my Taurus SHOs (Taurii?) to get a 1972 Buick Centurion convertible. I'll post some pics in "Other Vehicles" when I pick that one up.

I guess I became a real tow operator today...

At least that is what they tell me now that I dropped a truck. :emotions33: Had a bad day in the best way possible I guess. I was sent to pick up an old ford bucket truck that weighed in at around 11,000 lbs. This was the largest vehicle I had towed to date and apparently there have been a few gaps in my training. I wheel lifted it and secured it for transport and things were going well until I popped the clutch going through a traffic circle. Safety chains held but I had to stop in the middle of the traffic circle to fix it. Of course this was at 4 pm. A wonderful time of day to tie up traffic, let me tell you.

The good news... I learned some things I did wrong and have questions that need to be answered. I was passed by a deputy about 90 seconds before this happened and so he was gone and I got out of there without a confrontation with LE. I have a feeling that would have been expensive. Best part... Even though the wheel lift went through the radiator the customer won't file any kind of claim. I was hauling it to the recyclers. :D Customer say it happen and even tipped me afterwards.

Now I just have to talk to the boss about it when he gets back on Monday. Fortunately his partners think it won't be a problem.

Now, lets try to not let that happen again.

once towing gets in your blood it's like a bad disease, you just can't get it out of your blood. Don't worry tho, we're in recovery and love it lol
