Do`nt forget to set the park brake or put er in park. short vid.

http://vitaminl.tv/video/654?ref=fbs

DAMN!!! I didn't know someone caught that on video. I was hoping I could keep that one quiet. :D

Usually it's not a rookie who would do that type of mistake. It's a seasoned pro who has become over confident in his job and forgets to check the bare basics. Trust me, I've seen the best make some really stupid mistakes. Of course they try to blame it on your if you're around. As in, I thought you set the brake !!! LMAO, yeah right you fuktard !!!

I just joined this site and noticed a page about Wreckers. Im more of a hobbiest but have liked tow trucks for as long as I can remember. My dad had a car lot and i always wanted him to buy us a truck and let me run it but he never did. The few times he traded for one they were sold for rent or payroll the same week. Anyway my big love (other then my wife) is Indy 500 trucks. So I thought why not try to find a Indy 500 wrecker. With the power of google Ive turned up a 91 no Mar Dodge, 94 no Mar brickyard, a 95 no Mar chevy, 96 dodge and a 98 Brickyard about two months ago. What I am looking for is a 1993 Indy 500 Chevy. What I know is it would have been black with a grey cloth seat. Manual trans with a No Mar Bed and a big push bumper. They ran two wheelbases and had the work truck two headlights. However i bought an ad on Ebay for chevy that showed the nicer 4 lights in the grill . Finders fee paid if you see one and I can work out a deal with the owner. Would rather aviod rust but will look at any. I got some cool photos from a wrecker driver at that 93 Indy 500 that I know. I will post them when i get some time. They are on my home PC.

I'm also looking for the plates and any good photos. I need most of the early 80s and mid 90s plates.

This is what I'm searching for. Not sure what magazine it was in maybe a trade mag back in 93? Anyway I like this set up. All of the ones I have the photos of in 93 at Indy had the work truck grill.

Yeah he does know his **** and rarely wrong. That's kinda why we tolerate his **** and let him stay around. :happy175:

Good to know the search engines are working. This is why we try to keep the threads that matter neat and tidy. I'll look to see if you put him down for referral to the site and change it if you didn't. We like to make sure those who participate get their kudos. :waytogo:

Just a tip and/or warning for you newbie wrecker drivers. These are things that can happen. Cops don't find everything. We had our auction this past Saturday. All the **** from the auction cars, the insides, consoles, trunks etc, was thrown into the middle of the shop floor. The owner goes thru the ****, keeps what she want's then the rest is pretty much up for grabs for whoever wants it. So this evening I was going thru a backpack. Found this cool little zippered change pouch. I was thinking it was a tool kit. Nope. Opened it up, it was the bottom of a Budweiser beer can, 3 Q tips and Needle and Scringe. Obviously belonged to a junkie. Be careful reaching under seats without gloves or you just might get stuck. I've actually done it and pulled out a loaded hand gun. Luckily that was still on the scene. The officer and I were doing inventory on the car when I found it under the passenger seat. I've also pulled out a biggo honkin ***** from under a seat. We expected that one though. The girl has been pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving since she was weaving all over the road. The officer could tell she was trying to stash something as she was lit up before she pulled over. Come to find out, the bitch was high as hell on meth, and had a vibrator up her skirt taking care of bidness while she was driving down the street at 4am. You never know what you'll find. Just last week, I found a real nice high dollar Gahl Bullet Proof Vest in the back seat of a car. Of course the cops took that as evidence. It was a Gangsta, convicted felon dude.

Interesting stories. My plan for the 93 wrecker once I find it will be just to tow hobby cars and some used cars for a friends car lot. My full time job is selling Porsches in Indianapolis and you would be surprised what people leave in trades. Loaded guns-yes, sex toys-yes, drugs-yes, cash-sometimes but rare , all the garage door openers I pass and parking passes they need for the next day......
