total stock 2000 5.3 with 80 lb injectors ,2 bar map sensor stock truck intake ,flipped exhaust manifolds with 68mm turbo , 2 to 1 intercooler 2in in 3 in out and 80mm blow off valve , turbo has internal wastgates bought them off e-bay and had them reworked to garet speck's by evergreen turbo . truck run's on 8lb of boost have had it turned up to 15lbs boost but it blows the valve's open .need to change out the cam and springs maybe next winter . stock ecm tuned by bernezz speed here in Ocala fl

Cool info, thanks! Amazing you get 17mpg with that and a TH400, no OD..

Reason I was wanting specifics, is I'd like to turbo a truck, it's a 4 spd, right now it has 4.10's but I could drop that to 3.73, or even higher..

My engine is an old 400 SBC, I was considering getting the vortech heads and stuff off a used 5.3, but part of me wonders if it'd be better to just use the 5.3 as is.. But yeah, I wanna do a turbo on it, more for gas mileage wth a little bump in power, but I don't need tons of boost. I want enough to give me better mileage, and keep longevity.

By gasmileage, I mean I'd be happy to get 14-15 out of the thing. 4x4, 3/4 ton..

Also makes me wonder what I could do with my wife's Suburban, 2002, already gets 16-18.. :D
