it aint the spacers fault really, it's the fact that you have 2 spots for leaks compared to just one like stock.

...and the guys putting them on are in such a rush to try out the new go-fast part they don't install them properly. A little prep work with a flat file before assembly works wonders.

The spacer on my 5.7 was free but I saw another one on Craigslist and had to have it. I can't resist shiny objects.

CFM-Tech Super Sucker spacer...

is going under this rebuilt TB...

and on top of a 3704 intake. Everything has been bored to 46mm.

Sitting on a 383. Mmm...shiny.

So you have toys to go with it. Likley to be an advantage in this case, but that's not a spacer actually is it? Isn't that the base to the TB itself? Or is it an actual spacer?

wow very nice intake TB and spacer I wished I had them.

I would agree a file comes in very handy to check things. I would check the tbi bottom, spacer top and bottom and intake, I've used mine for the trans support plate which is called for on the shift kits where you stack the plates, gotta make sure yours is flat and also the chrome water necks, once you remove em it's good to check them before putting them on.

Now based on a Youtube Video that is posted in a different thread here (I can't find it right now) that compared the Edelbrock Performer and RPM Air-Gap, an open space in the plenum gained power.

So in theory wouldn't this be a good spacer? Not to be confused with a regular spacer that just adds to the height

**idk if id buy their 15+ HP with this product alone tho

It will add a little more umph to the mid range and higher rpms.
The spacer design allows both planes to take advantage of both barrels...otherwise, they are two isolated barrels on each plane.

Not really. Most guys that buy that CFM-tech spacer, get an adjustable fuel regulator, and bump the pressure up to around 13 to 14.5 PSI.
Tuning is the ultimate after you have your engine finished.
event stock, most vehicles benefit from chip or ECM fine tuning.
