I have a feeling that heavy guage purple wire is likely to the blower motor or your rear AC unit. I can't thnk of anything else that would require that heavy of a guage of wire.

That's what I was thinking, but it wasn't connected to anything in the back, just laying in the side of the roof. Didn't even have a connector on it.

Also could possibly be an optional wire that is in all Burb looms. You have barn doors right? Maybe its the power window in the tailgate door option.

I can;t find it on any of my half assed wiring diagrams, it runs along the roof from the front pillar top the rar barn door pillar nad stops there.

There is a possibility that I may have cut that thing last winter when I removed some of the reac A/C covers. I can't remmeber. I'll take a look over the weekend and take some pics of back there.

My first guess would be to the Rear AC, 2nd guess to Power Window/Lock of tailgate. But if it was that, I'd expect there to be more than one wire. The rear air blower is pretty much just a blower motor back there and the high/low can be taken care of up front so that only 1 power lead needs to go to the back, then ground it to chassis and there you go. I have a strong feeling its the rear AC blower. If so, put your electric redneck fan back there and control it from your old Rear AC switch.

Are you kidding? With a power supply like that, I can roof mount an inverter, pull the glass out of the driver's side barn door, and silicone a window A/C unit in that bitch. :waytogo: :High 5:

:happy175: Can't say I haven't seen pics of being done. There is one of those you might be a redneck pics, with a guy and a 5000 btu AC hanging out his slider rear window of a pick up. Didn't Larry the Cable guy have that too???

My Burban' has a collection of staples holding it up. What kind of time did it take to get that headliner backer board down..?
What was the biggest PITA part of getting it down i have to keep driving mine while the project is going on.Im going use 3M's premium undercoating on the back side
