OK, I get it now. Yep, 3.73's and that small of a tire you'll feel it in the seat a bit.

While I was up at my Dad's at the beginning of the month for my grandmother's funeral, the morning of the funeral, the car did not want to start and no matter what I did, nothing. I had it towed the 175 or so miles back home and it sat until I had the time to pull and warranty the starter. Upon the removal process I noticed that the battery cable terminal wasn't fully tightened. After tightening it all the way I reconnected the battery and it started up just fine. I cleaned up my tools and got it off of my ramps, since I jacked it up and set it on them, and went for a drive.

Clutches in the posi might be worn since it was peg leggin when I got on to the gas.

I know the production numbers for these are small (4600), but how many of these were built with the 350? Also, anybody know where to find the police push bumper for the caprice that was vaguely this body style?

Unsure how many came with the 350, probably more than what came with the 305.

I'll do it when I get home... I know one must be alloy wheels, and BRN must be brown interior. It has the 5.7, and I think something is up with the oil pressure sender. It keeps fluctuating rapidly, but not so much as a tap from the engine. What does happen is about 100 rpm drop in engine speed every time the oil pressure gauge bottoms. I think something electronic is shorting... Pic related.

If you want to do that, I'll gladly take the OCC front bumper cover.

SPID label is in the tailgate opening on the right side.

Police push bumper mounts over the stock bumper? I found the spid tag last night. I'll have it up in a min.

Fleet Vehicle could have even meant it was a rental car right? It also could have been a company fleet car. I know for example, Hewlett Packard had a large nationwide fleet of Ford Taurus and a few of them were wagons too.

A family friend in So Cali who owned a body shop and had the HP contract all the HP Taurus body work. It was actually most of his work he had so many of them in there. Most of the time, he had 3-4 a time. Get one done, and another comes in. He also got first crack to buy the totalled ones and the insurance co usually gave him a good deal too due to the fact, if he bought it, that ended to the storage fees, transportation and auction expenses, not to mention he pretty much bought every single of one of them no matter how bad the damage was. He said there was always more than enough parts to cover and make money for what he was buying them for, whether he fixed and sold them or just them for parts. About the only ones he didn't buy and they never even made it to his shop, was the burn out jobs.
