I get into this today, turn the key and "click" once, nothing. Of course it doesn't do it my driveway, luckily I wasn't too far away from home, got it towed and have spent way too much time not pulling the starter all the way.

I did, I've thought about even swapping a later 1.5 DIN Delco unit in with a CD player and AUX capabilities too to keep a stock look, they plug right into the stock harness.

A friend of mine did that mod to the stock head on is first 02 Blazer and did a write up on it. I like the Buick unit in it now, but the tape deck is useless to me, CD players really are too, but I do use the 6 disc in dash changer in my Trailblazer from time to time. I also want to get another Satellite Radio unit that I can use in the house and in other cars as I'm in them.

hmmm, And another thread I've missed. Nice Ride.

If you had it bookmarked, I've moved it to "Other Vehicles" in General Discussion. Still fine to be a build thread though.

I didn't have it bookmarked, we'll just chalk it up to you working a lot. Gonna finish the starter on it today, and get it going again. After that my Square is going to get a lot more lovin'

Got the starter finished, probably wasn't the problem at all. Postive battery cables had lots of corrosion. GM used two cables on the positive of this car and after cleaning them up it runs just fine.

Hell yeah it does!

Mine's no where as clean as Mike's was, It needs a lot of SEM paint due to the faded plastic in places. My carpet is stained in a few spots faded too.

Yesterday I cleaned out the interior and vacuumed it well. There was lots of dog hair? under the middle seat, looked like it had never been cleaned. Really it all needs shampooed and deep cleaned on top of it all.

Finally pulled the SES code, Code 13 Oxygen Sensor, and its intermittent.

Also, first gear feels near useless and unless I'm very gentle with the skinny pedal from a dead stop, it will snap your neck. I really think the reason my speedometer is off is due to 3.73s.

I was about to say your 700r4, but I think this one actually has a 200-4R doesn't it? But either way, if memory serves, but it doesn't always now days, sounding like some broken hard parts in the transmission.

So you're saying, if you give it a good amount of throttle at take off in D, the motor revs up pretty good without actually taking off, then all of a sudden it grabs hold and gives a good jerk as it takes off?

It's a healthy 700R4, what I mean is that first gear is low enough that unless I'm very gentle with the gas, it accelerates hard. It launches or spins the tires.

It's not a bad thing at all, a deeper rear gear has been known to wake these cars up.
