Source for new gauge needles

I was cleaning my gauges and tried to paint the needles with some orange paint, but the needles were too fragile. I broke the needles on the fuel and temp gauges. Does anyone know a vendor that sells the needles or could replace/refurbish them. I know you can buy new gauges, but just trying to explore my options

Welcome to the Forum. Needles for newer chevy cars and trucks are on ebay and amazon. Buy a set, paint them and make them fit. I never stumbled over a new set for the old gauges.

One of my friends made some by cutting a piece of appropriately colored plastic of a cat litter tub or something of the like, and gluing it on, didn’t look too bad.

You could have one 3D printed? Or you could do the humor thing and glue a GI Joe arm or a barbie leg to the pin.

I actually ran into a similar issue taking the gauge cluster off. I'm planning on having a friend 3d print some unique needles to fit. Or I may finally pull the trigger on a 3d printer...
