Could someone please point me in the right direction to where I can get a latch for the rear sliding window for a 1978? I’ve seen loads of different “dorman” latches but none are vehicle specific, and I don’t want to get the wrong one.

Thanks in advance

I have had many dormans on my 78 and they will all break. I replaced mine with a metal one i pulled from a junk yard. I believe i still have another metal one somewhere.... also your windows not all the way closed and the plastics are all the way together. I think that one was put on wrong.

CR Laurence makes one, #RL100. It looks like this might be a close match. Under $10 from several vendors on Amazon.

I purchased a slider for my last truck mfg by them. That had a metal latch, but I don't know of the screw holes are in the same location. It is smaller.

I replaced my latch with the DVL2 metal one and I've been happy with it so far. It fit perfectly on my '81.

Great. Another thing to spend money on. My latch is gone.
At least it's metal, though. And only 13 bucks. :D
