Something like that is exactly what I'm looking to do. I just haven't seen any newer Chevy trucks at my pullit yard yet. Haha newest trucks there are all Dodge [emoji23]

Call a dealer see how much new ones are they can’t be that much.

Can pop them out of a lot of cars too. The more important thing tho would be any available duct work or funnel on the underside of the the dash. Haha I've gone as far as thinking of using shop-vac attachments to run hose and 90° to the dash.

Heat riser tubing the coiled wire inside of it will allow you to mold it however you need.

3rd gen fbody had a flat dash with the side defrost duct that should be easily available at the scrap yards.

Poked around the salvage yard. Most Chevy side vents clip on to the dash and have a premolded air channel. Luckily i found these on a 2000-something Altima. This should work perfect clip into our dash and use a pre-heater hose as duct work. Now just need to brainstorm a means of tying into the existing defroster plastic.
