It rained all night and most of this morning here. I just went through the cab and can't find anywhere wet except for the flat side of the floor pan passenger side. That is almost always damp though because that soundproofing mat holds the moisture.

It could be running under the carpet, then only getting wet where it pools. You can poke around under the dash, looking for traces of water leaking down the firewall and kick panel. Or you can pull up the carpet, close the doors and hose it down real well. It also helps to have the dash pad and glovebox removed.

This.

I’ve rehabbed dozens of homes. The ones cheap enough to turn a profit usually have leaks. Water will settle where it will, often farther than you’d think from the source—thanks in part to surface tension and gravity.

Interesting the turns a thread can take...lol

I'm gonna run a strip of paper across the bottom of the firewall at the carpets edge and see where water marks show up

Pull up the carpet, use a blow dryer to dry the floor then spray the outside with a hose. You'll see where it's coming from.

I had to drive in a thunderstorm with no defrost and I was able to keep it defrosted pretty well with the vent window opened a bit.
Another benefit to my favorite window in my square. They never shoulda got rid of wing windows or manual floor vents. Old trucks are so much cooler.

Ya I was thinking of grabbing a newer dash to swap in. But if I could easily just add side vents and paint mine I'd be good.

I also think my manual lower side vents maybe leaking. I can feel cold air coming from them when closed.

Perhaps more rest-stops for your wife would help?? ;)

Bumps. Defrost worked nice the other day in the snow. Rain tho has always been the worse for sides fogging.
