Good luck on your search for a 2 door Yukon/Tahoe. Clean ones that are bargain priced are only getting scarcer these days.

thanks, they are getting scarce, but i'm looking in the 10-15K range as this will prob be the last daily i buy till i'm gone, so there is a slightly better selection. so far i have come across 5 or 6 yukon/tahoes that interest me. these 2 i'm looking at hard...
how about a '97 Z-71 'hoe with only 55 000 orig miles? in the 10 grand range, but too clean for what i need. would pain me to take this thru the bush...

I know I'm setting myself up here cuz it's a Ford. I all but swore I'd never get another diesel cuz they're so expensive to maintain, but I absolutely HATE towing with a gasser. Just picked this up. 120k miles and I know the guy I got it from. Spent most of it's life in Texas and never was driven in the winter here, no rust anywhere and the interior is really nice. It's a 6.0 Powerstroke that's been studded. He gave me stock suspension with it, I'm on the fence about putting that on or getting a 2.5" lift. I can't do the 6" cuz I'll put a 5th wheel hitch in it.

lol, if you can an original 55k mile Vortec 2 door ‘Hoe for $10k (cdn or even US) and it’s in the condition that should be commensurate with a 50k mile car, you’d be a fool to not buy it. Even if you just flipped it for a profit.
I believe you’re in BC, correct? If I had the time and inclination to deal with the bullchit of importing it, I’d be PMing you for the guys phone number.
Not even sure why the black one isn’t sold already. Must be something wrong with it. Just over the border here, that would be gone in 60 seconds if it was legit.

The modded one looks cool and may be a good rig, but not a great choice unless you’re sure it’s really “right” to buy someone else’s major transplant/abortion.

me and my son went and looked at the black one, it was only an hr from me.
was a very nice truck, no rust anywhere, mint int, run perfect and drove strait. but that's the prob, way to nice for what i plan. if i had room, i would have bought and flipped, but my driveway is full with 3 trucks and 1 firebird, 2 more trucks parked on the street, and one on my front lawn....sides, it's an auto with push button 4by..gag...
i'm searching for a bush truck. i take my 6 ft wide trucks down 3 ft wide trails...so you can imagine what that black tahoe would look like in a month...lol
haven't seen the sas tahoe in person yet, but the guy emailed me pics of the sas and from what i can see in the pics it looks very well done. the guy works in a fab shop so i imagine there is nothing too janky on it. only prob is finding time to go look at it before it sells- it's 3 1/2 hrs from me

Well I won’t profess to understand why you have a half dozen trucks and cars available but want a long term daily driver that you want to go scratch to hell. And if you do, and it’s the right price and right mechanical and physical condition then what’s the difference? Feel better if someone else scratched it first?
Good reliable, lower mileage well cared for mechanically vehicles aren’t generally also beat up and all scratched up. I’m sure they exist, but the logic of seeking pre-scratched unless it’s budgetary doesn’t register.
PS they’ll all look like a steaming pile if you’re taking them down 3’ wide trails.

well with all the death going on in my and my wife's family. we have ended up with 6 vehicles in our yard this yr.
two trucks are my wife's, one was an inheritance, (pavement princesses) firebird is my sons, and i got my crew cab and stepside. the stepper was my daily/bush beater for close to 30 yrs and has some sentimental value so it will stay for parts (lawn truck) only prob the trans took a dump, needs brakes, exhaust, shocks, and 'bout 50 other things. that's why i bought the rcsb fleet to replace the stepper. after driving it a few times i came to realize the v6 is completely underwhelming so i passed it to my son. so he has 2 vehicles. and one he can actually get around in the snow with come winter.
my crewcab is waaaay to big to go where i do and gets about 5-6 mpg's so scratch it as a daily.
and no, not looking for a scratched up beater, but if you seen the paint and dents on my stepper, you'd understand why i wouldn't take the black hoe out in the bush. like ya said, my stepper DOES look like a steaming pile....besides, the black hoe is PUSH BUTTON 4by auto...the only push buttons i want are on my tv remote...lol

@Rumbledawg. Sorry that cam off wrong. Apologies. Not judging.
If it makes you feel better, I have 8 vehicles at home and the boys each have one with them. How tf that happened? Lol.
To be fair, 2 are for sale or will be. 2 are the Squares, a pretty cherry original old CJ5 that I can’t part with that’s been around 20 years almost now, company truck, the diesel and the Charger.
And the kids’ car and truck in FL and MT. Good grief!
My thoughts were, the nicer the vehicle, the better it will run. If ya pinstripe it in the woods, so be it.
As for the push button 4wd, imo don’t let that detract from the vehicle. I used to feel exactly the same way. In fact bought a new 01 Ram back in the day because it was the last combo of manual shift 4wd and no ABS you could get in a new truck.
But after at least a dozen or 20 electronic shift 4x4s, some high miles, and hundreds of company owned trucks doing work, it has never been an issue as I recall.
Just like GM IFS that was said to be weak…. That was 35 years ago and it’s just as false now as it wa then.
Or more accurately a black 2 door GMT400 ‘hoe is about the ultimate Chebbie Blazer!
Good luck finding the right rig! Cheers

yeah, how does it happen....?
started the yr with 3 vehicles and then i don't know what happened...lol
and ya, i too felt the same way about ifs obs's back then, but push button 4by, no thanks. being up in yrs, this will prob be my last daily i buy and i don't really want a "shoulda got this" instead truck. i want no regrets about what i bought and am looking for something like it or as close as i can get to it.
gotta be v8, manual trans, floor shift t-case and prefer rubber floor, then i'll take it from there....
