I've been revisiting the seat swap infos I can find as my time draws near to do it.
Here's my plan after studying on what is available to me.
I bought a pair of second gen F body buckets WITH SLIDERS from Craigslist a while back. It looks like I can simply swap the adjuster tracks and
, at least that's my plan.
Ima get my exhaust guy to take the stops out of the tracks and swap bases.
The f-body (Camaro) seats seem to have a HANDY way to add height adjustment with only some warshers and a longer bolt that attaches the track to the seat as seen in the 3rd photo. The "stop" is only the bolt head, smushed up.
I'm not sure how much LOWER they sit, but it will not be much, because ima use the o.g. truck bases.
See attached photos of the Camaro sliders -the "stop" is ALSO the mounting stud into the floor, so it'll be destroyed during removal and get replaced.
I'm only lookin at 6 bolts, 4 washers + how ever many I choose to add for "seated height adjustment", PER SEAT.
Toss Expert Muffler guy Richard say , $20 bucks ?
Seems easy enough to me and OBVIOUSLY requires the mounting hardware from another bench - don't forget.
I can buy it right now for $45 - $60 bucks on eBay or Craigslist.
Whattya think? It'll work!
