The '88 Burb was riding a little odd the other day. Checked it out and noticed that the upper shock bolt had ripped up out of the shock mount. Anyone else experienced this?

Many many times in the early 80's with my '78 Heavy Half 'Jump Truck'. Lots of ways to fix it. I ended up fish plating the section of frame where the mount was getting torn off.

I’d say I’m sorry, but I’m not. What a chinsy looking piece of crap for $40. It appears they spent seconds engineering that turd.
Yea i was just gonna make my own anyway someone had made some i seen that had 2 bolts on each side and a cut out for the shock hard to explain and i dont know where i seen it. Same idea just better then those. So why womt they work on burban?

Idk maybe there’s a body mount there. My burbs gonna have 1 ton shock mounts on the inside.

These look nice, but this is below the original mounting point, right?
