Radiator Leaking

Radiator leaking only two years old ?? Just noticed it a few days ago, all hoses tight no leakes, leaking on drivers side! I installed a power steering cooler and maybe the culprit? on how the attachments are attached to the front my of the rad ??? PITA

Radiators are junk nowadays. But if you used the through rad things it's probably worn a hole. Especially if foam isolator wasn't used

Suggestion is those plastic pins will abrade tubes in the radiator from vibration. I agree radiators are low quality today but should last more than 2 years. When radiator was replaced was coolant and if necessary, system flushed? What area is coolant coming from? Are all grounds intact?

@fast 99 Yes Coolant flush, No Plastic pins were used Power steering coolen in the front of the AC Rad
Purchased from LMC truck $300 with oversize charge and shipping Loking at Rock Auto much cheeper
LMC specs 21'H
Rock Auto 19" H
Both 28-1/4 W x 1-1/4 W

Height change might require different radiator mounting brackets and possibly shroud.

Well i tightened the intake hose clamp a little, did not see that it was leaking, Have not noticed it leaking ???

So the hose was leaking because of loose clamp, not the radiator??

I had almost the exact same thing happen. Noticed coolant under the truck. Couldn't see it leaking from any of the hoses so I thought the radiator had sprung a leak. Decided to check the hose clamps on all of the hoses first... lo and behold, clamp on the water pump was loose and it was leaking from there. Tightened it up and no more leak!

Corbin clamps for the win. I prefer the wide band style over the wire style, but it beats those damned screw clamps backing off.

yeh once you find a good set of them, go back and buy a few more. Auto stores are flooded with the ones that jump threads.

Not the clamp started to leak again bottom left drivers side, could not see the weeping leak? Pulled it out and installed a NAPA Rad from China what could go wrong?

The Rad i pulled was from LMC $300 with shipping and taxes only 8 months old WTF? Hope they have a warranty?

I like to get my clamps from AG supply places, for spray equipment. You can still get the real high quality stainless ones that are even made in the USA. I used to buy them by the box at NAPA, they were the nice, sturdy, stainless Breeze brand. Until I got a box that was not Breeze and lower quality. Haven't bought any since then.
